A german pastor, died during the Hitler regime in Germany. Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Dietrich Bonhoeffer about the idea of apocatastasis (universial salvation).
We must not speak of a dual outcome here without at the same time emphasizing the inner necessity of the idea of apocatastasis. We are unable to resolve thisparadox. On the one hand, the concept of the church, as Christ’s presence in the world which calls for a decision, necessarily demands the dual outcome. The recognition that the gift of God’s boundless love has been received without anymerit would, on the other hand, make it seem just as impossible to exclude othersfrom this gift and this love. Dietrich Bonhoeffer about the problem of success in giving credibility to a cause, and if the fight against or for a successful cause is good. A christian can't give up and say it's not my responsibility anymore.
We have to be careful not to look down on people, as we often require people to do stuff, we alone sometimes don't do. (Or not willing too).
